Abutbul is a theater, film and television actor. He started his career at a young age, while a student at the famous arts high school "Thelma Yelin". His first role was at the age of 15 in the film "Morning Star".
His theater roles include "Hamlet", "King Lear" and many others. He performed at the "Habima" theater, the Beer-Sheva theater and the Haifa theater.
Abutbul also appeared in several television programs such as: "Shabatot VeHagim", "Ima'lle" and "Ha-Alufa".
Apart from his roles in Israeli films, Abutbul also participated in several internationally known films such as: "Rambo 3", Spielberg's "Munich" and most recently "Body of Lies" along side Leonardo DiCaprio.
Abutbul won an Israeli Academy Award for his role in "Nina's Tragedies" and an award from the Jerusalem film festival for his role in "Out of the Blue".
