Eran Kolirin is a screenwriter and film director. His directorial debut and as of 2008 with his first feature-length film, The Band's Visit (2007).
The film was a critical success, winning eight Awards at the Israeli Film Academy and prizes at several international film festivals. Kolirin himself won the Israeli Film Academy's awards for best director and best screenplay.
His recent film The Exchange is expected to have its world premiere at the 68th Venice International Film Festival.
