The Cinema Jerusalem project, which deals with film- and television-making in and about Jerusalem, was initiated at the beginning of the millennium by the Jerusalem Cinematheque and veteran Jerusalemite producer and director, Micha Shagrir.

In recent years, following the establishment of the Jerusalem Film and Television Fund of the Jerusalem Development Authority, several films and series have been produced with its assistance, exposing the colorful, exciting, and complex variety of the city and its inhabitants.

Joseph Cedar's (Time of Favor, Campfire, Beaufort) latest feature film, Footnote, filmed entirely in Jerusalem, has already received international acclaim. It won the award for best screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival in May and has been purchased for international distribution. In its theatrical screenings in Israel, the film continues to fascinate audiences. "

Notes on Footnote" focuses on the making of the film and on the reactions of audiences. The filmmakers will present materials from the work process and excerpts from the finished film, and will talk with the audience about the unique filmmaking process. The event is recommended for viewers who have already viewed the film.

Director:Micha Shagrir, Yoram Honig
