June 25 marks five years of Gilad Shalit being held captive in Gaza. From June 22 till June 27 we invite communities across North America to honor Gilad and educate the public with a screening of the film: Family in Captivity.

The film is an intimate story that follows the day to day efforts of the Shalit family to cope and bring Gilad home. Through their story, we exit the political realm and see the human angle of this difficult ordeal that is relate-able to everyone. This heart breaking story gives unprecedented access to the Shalit family, and shows how these private and anonymous individuals rise to become national symbols.
