Oded is a young Israeli architect who now lives in Chicago with his wife and children and whose career is in full bloom. His sick parents in Tel Aviv want him to move back home. On a week-long visit home he meets Svetlana, a Russian girl who has taken his place in the family. He tries to force a rift between her and his parents.
